Mainio is a Finnish fashion brand founded in 2014, specializing in sustainable children's clothing. The brand is renowned for its bold, abstract prints and adventurous designs that encourage children's imagination and playfulness. Mainio emphasizes the use of ethical and ecological materials, such as GOTS-certified organic cotton and mulesing-free merino wool, and collaborates with factories that uphold fair labor practices and environmental responsibility. Their commitment to sustainability is further demonstrated through initiatives like the Mainio x Pure Waste collection, made entirely from recycled materials, and their partnership with Ninyes to offer customers an easy way to recycle used garments. In 2020, nearly 100% of the cotton used in their products was GOTS certified organic cotton, and 89.2% of their products were made from GOTS certified organic cotton and merino wool.
