Bramley Dress in Pearl Linen & English Lace

Like wearing a cloud of apple blossom the Bramley Dress is a slightly oversized mid-length dress with lace panels. For drifting around orchards with a wide-brimmed straw hat garden parties and picnics. Wear with leather sandals and sun hats all summer. Side pockets. 

The Bramley apple is renowned as the ultimate British cooking apple prized for its sharp acidic flavour and its ability to break down into a fluffy light texture when cooked. Originating from a Nottinghamshire seedling in 1809.

Dyed spun and woven in or adjacent to where they were grown these fabrics sit alongside our British wool and leather which represent centuries-old textile heritage native materials in their natural ecosystems and multi-generational skills handed down family lines.
HERD's philosophy is to replenish and nourish the soil landscape animals and craftspeople we work with along the way. Our fabrics grown from the soil and processed without toxic chemicals can return gently to the soil - a ‘soil to soil’ system by which all our products are made.
Our spring/summer collections are named for Pomona the goddess of fruit trees gardens and orchards. It is inspired by a life lived outdoors in the rhythms of the seasons.
Detail - The Bramley Dress falls to mid calf with long sleeves. Lace inserts sit on top of and in between the linen. 
Fabric - The Bramley Dress in Pearl Linen is made from 100% undyed linen grown in Northern Europe and woven in Ireland. The lace is made in the last lace-making factory in England. 
Lovingly hand-cut sewn and finished in our studio partner based in London.
Washing - Cool wash with similar colours. Line dry. Cool iron if desired.
