Makeda Kimono Silk

The new edition of the Makeda Kimono is a refined reinterpretation of one of MOPEPE’s signature pieces. This version removes the front slit for a smoother more continuous flow allowing the fabric to move effortlessly — almost weightlessly — around the body. Crafted from ultra-light Shibori silk it is designed to capture the essence of the Oya Collection celebrating the spirit and fluidity of wind. With each step the silk ripples softly creating an airy silhouette that feels as though it floats.

At MOPEPE every piece is crafted by hand using traditional techniques and heritage fabrics. As a result slight variations in color print or texture may occur. These natural imperfections are not flaws—they are a testament to the authenticity uniqueness and artisanal quality of each item. We believe this is what makes every MOPEPE creation truly one of a kind.
