The RNLI Polperro Jumper is a quintessentially British fisherman knit inspired by traditional Gansey Jumpers made on Cornwall’s South Coast.
A true heritage inspired piece these were traditionally knitted by fishermen's wives to keep them warm at sea. Hard-wearing and tightly knitted to resist sea spray and wind the patterns represent waves ropes and ladders telling stories handed down through generations.
