Gather And See
Raye British Wool Sweater Peat
From Gather And See
Product details
We have a new spin of peat yarn! The sweaters are on preorder and will be knitted in the next few weeks for delivery before the end of April.
Our peat yarn is an undyed shade created from fleece from Bluefaced Leicester sheep. They have the finest fleece of all the British breeds luxurious with a beautiful lustre and drape. The majority of this breed are white but some are brown or black. To create this brown yarn we select only the rarer brown fleece and have it spun specially for us. As it's spun from undyed fleece it has natural shades of brown and grey giving it a soft marl.
The Raye sweater has a relaxed silhouette with a dropped shoulder and boxy shape. The minimal modern design combines heritage knitwear details at the seams inspired by English gansey jumpers and deep ribs at the hem and cuffs. A versatile wardrobe staple that can be dressed up or down.
Made from 100% British wool. Our wool is certified by British Wool and is fully traceable back to the farm and flock it came from. The fibre is spun into
yarn in Yorkshire and knitted in London. You'll find a QR code on your swing tag which tells you all the farms that the yarn in your sweater came from.
Crafted using the traditional knitting process of fully fashioning. Each piece of this garment is knit separately linked together and finished by hand at our partner factory close to the studio.
Made locally in England in small batches.
