Tencel lyocell is made from wood pulp in a closed-loop process that recovers the solvent. In sweatshirts and hoodies it is usually blended with organic cotton, which gives a fleece that is softer, smoother and lighter than cotton alone, with a slight drape instead of a boxy shape. The lyocell helps the fabric absorb moisture and breathe, so these pieces work well for travel, lounging and layering without feeling heavy. Wash inside out at 30 degrees and dry on a line to keep the surface smooth.
