These garments are a special edition of our popular Ny shorts created using a soft reclaimed denim chambray. For comfortable everyday style these shorts feature a high-waisted fit with deep pockets to keep essentials close at hand. Pair them with a coordinating top for head-to-toe color and heels to elevate the effect.
About the Makers:
This piece was created by tonlé a Cambodian brand that set the standard for zero-waste fashion from 2008 to 2023. Founded on the principle that nothing should go to waste tonlé transformed textile scraps and remnants from Cambodia's garment industry into thoughtfully designed clothing through innovative production techniques and ethical manufacturing practices. Working with skilled local artisans tonlé proved that beautiful functional apparel could be created entirely from materials destined for landfills. Though the brand closed in 2023 this piece represents one of the last remaining items from tonlé's 15-year legacy of zero-waste design and sustainable fashion. tonlé's legacy continues through Conscious Assembly and KaTik.
